MEET THE DOCTORS
J. RYAN SMITH, DMD
Dr. Smith is originally from Covington, GA. In high school, he worked for an orthodontist, sparking his love for dentistry. After earning a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Georgia, he graduated from Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine (magna cum laude). He then enhanced his professional education by completing a general practice residency in Denver, Colorado.
Joining the Mountain View Dental team in 2012, Dr. Smith instantly admired the level of quality and overall philosophy of the practice. From 2012 to 2020, Dr. Smith transitioned from associate, to partner, to now ownership of Mountain View Dental. He jokes by saying “He told me this practice is the daughter her never had, if I don’t take care of her and treat her right, he’ll come after me.
Continuing education is an element of practicing dentistry that Dr. Smith considers essential to provide the best care for his patients. Dr. Smith has a passion for surgery and implant dentistry. He has completed over 100 hours of hands-on continuing education in implant dentistry and has earned the status of Fellow with the International Congress of Oral Implantologist (ICOI).
Dr. Smith is a member of SPEAR, a study club comprised of local dentists and specialist who share ideas on how to provide optimal care for their patients from a comprehensive approach. Dr. Smith is also an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry as well as the Rotary Club of North Cobb.
Dr. Smith, his wife Alec, and their three sons, Noah, Winn, and Lincoln live in nearby Kennesaw, GA. Outside the office, Dr. Smith most enjoys spending time with his family and watching his little boys play sports. Following UGA football, playing ALTA tennis, and the occasional round of golf are other pastimes that he enjoys.
JILL KELLEY , DMD
Dr. Jill Kelley is a native of Kentucky, receiving both her Bachelor or Biology degree and Dental degree at the University of Kentucky. She completed her general practice residency at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois.
Dr. Kelley has been practicing dentistry since 2005 and enjoys working with all members of the family. She has experience in pediatrics as well as all general dentistry procedures. She also provides Invisalign treatment and completed a mini residency in Sleep Medicine. She takes continuing education courses annually and is always striving to learn more to better serve her patients.
In her free time Dr. Kelley enjoys spending time with her husband and their 3 boys and 4 girls.
